Silent Protest at Cannes to Involve 82 Women

82 women are participating - a number chosen intentionally, as only 82 female-directed films have been honored by an official selection in competition at the festival, compared to over 1,600 films directed by men.

Cannes Film Festival is one of the most renowned film festivals of the world which sees the top celebs of the world annually. This year, 7 of our B-town celebs - Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, Dhanush, Huma Qureshi, Kangana Ranaut, Mallika Sherawat, and Sonam Kapoor, are gracing the red carpet of this reputed film festival.
