The shattered father of the four children killed in the Margaret River family murder-suicide says their grandfather didn't snap before it's believed he shot them. Completely gone. I don't feel angry.

The seventh individual discovered exterior was not named by Mr Dawson however after accounting for the 2 ladies and the kids, the one individual remaining among the many lifeless is Peter Miles. I think he's been thinking this through for a long time, ' claimed Mr Cockman.

"On Friday the Department of Education immediately provided specialist services to support students and staff at schools in Margaret River. So it's not some random guy off the street who's taken them away from me, he gave them to me and now he's taken them away".

Seven people have been found dead with gunshot wounds at a property near the Australian tourist town of Margaret River, police said.

The shooting deaths of seven people on a South West property has shaken the local community to its core.

He said police knew whose phone the call was made from but would not confirm whether it was Mr Miles.

Police, including officers from specialist forensic and homicide units from Perth, will be on the scene for "up to five days".

Grandfather Peter Miles, 61, is suspected of murdering his entire family before turning the gun on himself in Osmington, east of the Margaret River in WA on Friday.

On Saturday, Commissioner Dawson confirmed three longarm firearms were recovered at the property, all of which were licensed to Peter Miles.

Russian bombers intercepted off Alaska

Authorities have not publicly identified the deceased, but a family friend told the Australian Broadcasting Corp. that the seven victims were Peter and Cynda Miles, their daughter, Katrina, and Katrina's four children.

He then turned the gun on his wife in the living room of their house, before placing a triple-0 call to police alerting them to his crimes.

"It's a fabulous part of the state that most of us know reasonably well".

The Osmington incident was Australia's worst mass shooting since Tasmania's Port Arthur massacre in 1996, where lone gunman Martin Bryant killed 35 people.

A temporary support centre has been set up in Margaret River after the tragedy.

She described the family as "lovely people".

Haynes told 9 News that over the years, Cynda Miles had become a beloved member of the small community.
