'Vomitive. Pathetic': Lars Von Trier film prompts mass walkouts at Cannes

According to the Guardian, in the gruesome film, which the Danish director has called his most violent film to date, Dillon stars as Jack, a serial killer with more than 60 deaths to his name.

The film is due to released in Denmark in November this year, but as yet has no United Kingdom release date.

Others accused the film's creator Lars von Trier of "going too far" with this film, and for a man who once joked that he "sympathised" with Hitler "a little bit", that's a bold claim.

"The House That Jack Built takes place in 1970s USA".

We're spare the details, but consistent women and child mutilation are not off the menu, neither is the suffering of a poor duckling, a younger Jack seen pinching off one its feet before releasing it back into the lake to watch it struggle to swim away.

One of the reporters tweeted: "Just left Lars Von Trier's The House that Jack Built".

- Kyle Buchanan (@kylebuchanan) May 14, 2018I've never seen anything like this at a film festival. Von Trier's script follows Jack's development as a murderer, following him through five important killings and providing glimpses into his troubling coming-of-age experience.

Dillon is shown going about several brutal killings, as well as spouting philosophy, at one point noting: "Some people claim that the atrocities we commit in our fictions are those inner desires we can not commit in our controlled civilization". As the inevitable police intervention is drawing nearer, he is taking greater and greater risks in his attempt to create the ultimate artwork. Let us know what you think. It proved to be tough viewing for some with reports of over 100 people leaving early - the first "mass walk-out" at Cannes this year. You may be tempted to walk out of The House That Jack Built before then, but you'll definitely be talking about it afterwards.

Nonetheless, Jack tries to assert his intellectual credentials by delivering digressive lectures on German dive-bomber design, the role of putrefaction in the production of dessert wine, and the purposes of atrocity in art - a theme illustrated by clips from von Trier's own films.

Leaked images of Samsung's upcoming Galaxy S8 Lite have hit the web
Samsung is notorious in the Android world for many things and one of the biggest ones, next to bloatware, is its update schedule. The battery capacity of this phone is around 3000mAh, the display is 5.8 inches, and it comes with the latest Android 8.0 Oreo.

As an interesting sidenote, those who soldiered through The House That Jack Built reportedly gave it a standing ovation.
