Shooting death of suspended school teacher ruled a homicide

Rachael DelTondo, a teacher at Pennsylvania Cyber Charter School, was shot to death in her mother's driveway on May 13.

The report said DelTondo "didn't want her fiance to know" she was with the boy, claiming he was a friend.

Authorities told the news station DelTondo was shot multiple times, and a coroner confirmed she died as a result of multiple gunshot wounds to the trunk of her body.

On May 14, 2018, in an otherwise a quiet lane in Beaver County, one of the DelTondo's neighbors counted six gunshots being fired outside the family's home.

According to Times Online, towards the end of past year, DelTondo was suspended with pay from her teaching job at Pennsylvania Cyber Charter School after a police report alleging there had been an incident involving her and a former student came to light.

The report, which was reportedly written by an Aliquippa officer, and later confirmed to The Beaver Countian by law enforcement officials as being authentic, described DelTondo as being in a parked vehicle with steamed windows alongside a 17-year-old student of hers.

The lawsuit also accuses Purdue Pharma of targeting seniors and other "vulnerable" populations. Paxton's office filed a lawsuit against Purdue in Travis County District Court on Tuesday.

Inside was DelTondo and the teen.

Investigators say the murder of a former teacher who was gunned down in her mother's driveway in Aliquippa over the weekend was "a crime of passion".

However, School CEO Brian Hayden said records show the teen was never a registered student at PA Cyber.

The email included the police report and a note that DelTondo and the teen had a "relationship" over text messages and Snapchat messages.

One of her neighbours reported that he had heard the incident take place. "Nobody, including Ms. Deltondo, the Aliquippa Police Department, the juvenile male or his family, or any other person or agency had informed PA Cyber of this or any other incident", Hayden told Times Online.

After DelTondo's fiancé called off the wedding - after the alleged incident occurred, but before the alleged incident was made public - DelTondo reportedly attempted to purchase the $10,000 wedding dress that she'd put a deposit down on in order to resell it.

After receiving the email, her school announced that she was being suspended and "removed from the classroom pending an investigation".

Local police later launched an investigation into the information leak, with which DelTondo reportedly cooperated. We express our sympathy to her family, friends, and coworkers.

Earlier a year ago, DelTondo was in the press over a dispute with a bridal shop over her wedding dress. Her engagement was subsequently broken off due to the incident, reports KDKA.

Rachael DelTondo was supposed to tie the knot in 2017, but only four months later, the wedding was called off.

The family, who had already put down a $4,600 non-refundable deposit, told the salon they would like to pay the balance and receive the dress so they could sell it, but said the designer never delivered the gown and refused to refund their deposit.

However, a year later, a report of the incident was leaked to the press.
