Battlefield 5 Gets Officially Confirmed by EA DICE

On May 23 (which will be 6AM on Thursday May 24 AEST) the next Battlefield will be unveiled by EA, DICE, alongside comedian and Daily Show host Trevor Noah. You'll be able to watch on Twitch, Mixer and YouTube.

The Battlefield Twitter account has been rebranded, with a "V" as its logo. EA DICE SE senior video and media director Randy Evans also dropped the same hint on Twitter saying, "May 23rd".

Ronda Rousey I'll Be Pregnant Soon
The WWE could easily work a pregnancy into her storyline. "Soon, someday soon", Rousey told TMZ cameras in New York City. She felt comfortable enough to reveal that she was "soon" anticipating conceiving a baby with husband Travis Browne .

You can of course expect large-scale multiplayer in the next Battlefield - but Battlefield V takes it to the next level. It will be interesting to see what time period the game will take place in.

Following Trevor Noah and EA's teases, the publisher has officially confirmed the next entry in the Battlefield series will be called Battlefield V. Of course, it also doesn't hurt that since moving to the USA to replace Jon Stewart as host of The Daily Show, he has gained huge worldwide status so EA gets to add some celeb star power into the mix.

Brexiteers' customs plan is less useful than deodorant, says Leo Varadkar
That could assuage the worries of businesses that trade across the Irish border which are seeking frictionless trade. Arriving for the session this morning, Mrs May denied that she was "climbing down" on the customs union.

Details about the upcoming first-person shooter video game are still scarce. The blog post also talks about a bigger scale, a multiplayer mode that "spans multiple maps and modes". Given the rumblings we've heard recently, I'm almost willing to put money down on that being a reference to a new battle royale mode. Next week on May 23, he'll be front and center at the Battlefield V reveal.

If it does end up being set in WW2, it'd be cool to see the Pacific and Eastern Front theatres represented, rather than the same Western Front business nearly every other WW2 game featured. Considering it does seem to be the follow-up to Battlefield 4, it would make sense for the series to return to a modern setting.
