Draymond Green and Warriors shut out of National Basketball Association awards

The standout award is, of course, the MVP honor and the trio of James, Harden and Davis has separated themselves from the rest of the pack with their performances in the regular season.

LeBron James, James Harden and Anthony Davis are on the shortlist for winning the MVP award as the National Basketball Association announced Wednesday the finalists for a number of awards to be handed out following the end of the postseason.

Simmons finished the 2017-18 season averaging 15.8 points, 8.1 assists, and 8.2 rebounds per game.

The district is eligible for roughly 75 percent reimbursement for these vehicle purchases through state School Transportation Aid. The district only needed to pay half of the cost, because the insurance company gave the school district $55,278.

Harden led the National Basketball Association in scoring at 30.4 points per game, while guiding the Rockets to a franchise-best 65 wins.

Though it will surely be a close race, this is an award that Simons can, and honestly should win, and if he does pull it out, it will make him the first Philadelphia 76ers to bring home the award since Michael Carter-Williams accomplished the feat back in 2014. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar is the all-time leader with 6.

Davis pulled off what many thought was a miracle, dragging the Pelicans to the No. 6 seed in the playoffs despite a season-ending injury to running-mate DeMarcus Cousins.

David Moyes leaves West Ham United
The 55-year-old arrived at London Stadium in November, with the sole objective of ensuring the Hammers' English Premier League status.

Ben Simmons has been shortlisted for the NBA's Rookie of the Year award, along with Utah's Donovan Mitchell and Boston sensation Jayson Tatum.

Sixers Joel Embiid has been named a finalist for Defensive Player of the year.

The finalists in all categories were determined by voting by a global panel of sportswriters and broadcasters. Toronto Raptors guard Fred VanVleet is the other finalist.
