Beilein declines to pursue Pistons coaching job

Beilein, who interviewed for the Detroit Pistons' head coaching gig, has announced that he intends to remain the head coach of the Wolverines.

Earlier today, MI basketball coach John Beilein withdrew his name from consideration for the Pistons job. And he has no intention of leaving Ann Arbor before retiring.

The Wolverines are coming off their second Final Four appearance under Beilein and a school-record 33 wins last season.

According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, former Toronto Raptors coach Dwane Casey discussed the position with Detroit owner Tom Gores on Tuesday, which was followed by MI basketball coach John Beilein announcing that he's pulling out of the runningfor the Pistons gig.
