Kaala Released In Bengaluru Despite Protests - Rajinikanth’s Star Power!

Rajinikanth's latest gangster thriller Kaala released in theatres today. Will he collaborate with the superstar for the third time? THE WEEK had earlier written on the lack of hype surrounding the movie. "We will not allow Tamil films to run".

The film has been at the centre of controversies over Rajinikanth's Cauvery remarks.

The tepid response has led to growing doubts about Rajinikanth's prospects in Tamil Nadu politics, given that Kaala is his first film after he jumped into the political arena. By the end of the day, the film might collect around$ 600K including all languages.

Blizzard Confirms It's Working on an Unannounced Diablo Project
Previous Blizzard job ads have also hinted that a new Diablo is on the way, but this is by far the most blatant. You can read an excerpt from the job listing which mentions the project below.

"Any film of his evokes a massive response".

Kaala marks the second collaboration of director Pa Ranjith and Rajinikanth, after Kabali.

However Vishal adds that Kaala may well surprise all the naysayers. He is a Rajini fan. They are shutting by themselves and are not screening Kaala. However, after 11 am it is likely that the film will begin. "I intend to see Kaala the soonest possible".

Fox gets lifeline in its takeover offer for Sky
Also significant is the entrance of a new bidder for Sky (Amsterdam: BK8.AS - news) - prompting speculation of a bidding war. Rupert Murdoch's 21st Century Fox wants to buy the 61 per cent of Sky that it does not already own in an £18.5 billion deal.

Nana Patekar plays the role of villain.

Pro-Kannada organisations had protested against the release of the film after Rajinikanth's comments on the sharing of Cauvery waters - always a troublesome issue between Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. Rajinikanth is still a huge craze as the character Chitti of "Robot" and fans are waiting for the sequel "2.0".

Bollywood star Aamir Khan is also excited about the film. The promos of Kaala haven't established a connect with Hindi audiences.

First lady to attend Trump's hurricane briefing Wednesday
Her last appearance in an official capacity was on May 10, welcoming back three Americans imprisoned by North Korea. The president literally pointed at a window, indicating the presence of the first lady, but ... she wasn't there.

Atul Mohan also warns about the competition. Notably, 'Kaala' has to compete with "Jurassic World" of the Steven Spielberg franchise at the same time. "Also, a section of Rajinikanth's audience is not happy with his entry into politics", said Mohan. As the film premieres worldwide, fans took to their Twitter handle to give their initial review for the film. Reports from Hyderabad say that there was just not enough "Rajini money" visible for Kaala - in the form of publicity and merchandise.
