LeBron James played National Basketball Association finals with self inflicted 'broken hand'

A man holds up an image of Cleveland Cavaliers' LeBron James as Warriors fans celebrate outside Oracle Arena in Oakland.

The conventional wisdom goes that if it's about lifestyle then the Los Angeles Lakers - where he owns a home already and lives there during the offseason, and where his post-career business interests are - or staying in Cleveland become the frontrunners. A lot of rumors seem to point to LeBron donning the Legendary Purple and Gold of the Lakers.

At the moment the list of suitors is limited, but it could grow before July as teams position themselves to acquire one of the game's most transcendent forces. General Manager Koby Altman has to decide whether to use the pick or trade it for an established player to make the Cavs better more quickly.

Wade was traded back to the Heat during a Cavaliers roster overhaul at the trade deadline, as they wanted to open more playing time for youngster Cedi Osman and three newly added perimeter players (Jordan Clarkson, Rodney Hood and George Hill). Even James admitted prior to Game 4 that he thought about how the Finals could've been different with Wade still on his side. At the top of the list, or at least right near that spot, is former Miami Heat star LeBron James, with one report suggesting that he'll consider a return engagement with the team.

"Hopefully I can break the mold so when the next guy comes, he can still get $200 or $300 million and be 33 years old". He was also named to the All-Star team in 2018 and he averaged 19.3 points and 11.3 rebounds during the 2018 NBA Finals. "I had emotions on [how] the game was taken away from us; I had emotions of [how] you just don't get an opportunity like this on the road versus Golden State to be able to get a Game 1, " he said.

The last time James left Cleveland it was because he needed a team to help him achieve greatness.

The former Indiana Pacer stated James would not overcome the Warriors juggernaut and win a championship if he went to the Houston Rockets or San Antonio Spurs. "The biggest thing we appreciate in the locker room is what everybody brings to the table, and we kind of unlock the greatness out of each other".

"Dan Gilbert believes that he can build a championship team without LeBron, and I think he is looking forward to trying".

"When you feel like you are really good at your craft, it's always great to be around other great minds and other great ballplayers", James said.
