Kim: North Korean Leader Says Summit Like Being in a Sci-Fi Movie

After their initial greeting, Trump and Kim walked inside, sat down and spoke briefly to reporters.

"North Korea's not going to change the way they do business unless they believe that the military option's on the table", Graham, R-S.C., said on "Sunday Morning Futures".

The leaders will meet on Tuesday on the resort island of Sentosa and talks are expected to centre on ending the North's nuclear weapons and missile programmes in return for diplomatic and economic incentives.

Previous summits, North Korean TV has not said anything about them to North Koreans until after the summit was over.

Mr Kim is notoriously paranoid about leaving behind person and biological information about himself when he travels overseas. And that suggests, perhaps, a confidence level on the North Koreans that this summit might go well.

Phillies poke fun at IHOP with ridiculous name change
Internet speculation had the "B" representing everything from breakfast, brunch, bananas, bacon, beer, booze and even bitcoin. Monday, the restaurant formerly known as IHOP revealed its new name will be the International House of Burgers .

"Wide-ranging and profound views on the issue of establishing new DPRK-US relations, the issue of building a permanent and durable peace-keeping mechanism on the Korean Peninsula, the issue of actualizing the denuclearization of the Korean peninsula and other issues of mutual concern" will be discussed, state-run KCNA reported early Monday. "Just means we get home a little later in the evening", Trump said.

Kim was heard telling Trump through a translator: "I think the entire world is watching this moment".

He also revealed that his economic adviser, Larry Kudlow, who did not among the USA delegation in Singapore, had suffered a heart attack was being treated at Walter Reed Medical Center in Maryland.

The President is well-prepared for tomorrow's engagement with Chairman Kim.

The president said North Korea has a sizable nuclear arsenal and that Kim knows its details and capabilities very well.

USA hails progress ahead ahead of Trump-Kim meeting
Tensions between the two countries escalated in 2017 after Pyongyang stepped up efforts to boost its nuclear weapons programme. Its outcome could prove pivotal in determining whether the two nations pursue a lasting peace or a fresh military conflict.

When asked if there was a discussion of pulling the roughly 28,000 United States troops out of South Korea, Trump said the topic never came up.

When Singaporean Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong visited the global media center for the summit at F1 Pit Building on Sunday, he said it will cost the city state "around 20 million Singaporean dollars" (W16.1 billion, US$1=W1,078) to host the "historic summit".

He has said he would size up Kim "within the first minute" of their meeting.

Mr Trump said the pair had made "a lot of progress".

President Donald J. Trump of the United States of America and Chairman Kim Jong Un of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) held a first, historic summit in Singapore on June 12, 2018. "It is responsible for the starvation deaths of millions of North Koreans, and for the imprisonment, torture, killing, and oppression of countless more". "But they'll come off - as you know and as I have said, the sanctions right now remain but as a certain point I actually look forward to taking them off and they'll come off when we know we're down the road where it's not going to happen, nothing is going to happen".

China Supports Iran Nuclear Deal in Talks with Iranian Leader
US President Donald Trump last month announced the US was withdrawing from the 2015 Iran nuclear deal and re-imposing sanctions. The missile system is necessary to fortify India against likely attacks from Pakistan and China.

The president also has said it will be the start of the process, suggesting that the meeting will set the stage for more detailed negotiations in coming months.
