The research note also claims that in order to reduce charging costs, Apple may replace Broadcom with Texas Instruments for its wireless charging technology for the new LCD iPhone model.

However, Apple denied the changes were created to thwart United States law enforcement.

Apple said that after it learned of techniques being used against iPhones, it reviewed the operating system code and made a number of improvements to the security.

Apple is reportedly closing a loophole that allows locked iPhones to be accessed without their owners' passcodes, disabling a method often used by law enforcement.

France begin their World Cup campaign against Australia June 16, before facing Peru (June 21) and Denmark (June 26). Last summer came his most recent extension, when he added another year to take him up to 2022.

Since then, law enforcement agencies across the country have increasingly employed that strategy to get into locked iPhones they hope will hold the key to cracking cases. That stand-off ended when the Department of Justice said it had found a third party that could unlock the iPhone without Apple's help. "We're constantly strengthening the security protections in every Apple product to help customers defend against hackers, identity thieves and intrusions into their personal data", the company told Reuters. That same access can be exploited by special police-purchased tools to break into fully-locked iPhones.

It's unclear what took Apple so long to close an iPhone entryway that had become well-known among legal authorities and, presumably, criminals as well.

Law enforcement and security teams are unlikely to be the only people affected. iPhone peripherals have industrial and medical uses - and DJs had better not wander too far from the decks.

The new changes could stoke another round of debate between Apple and law enforcement.

Max Thunder's air combat exercises so unnerved North Korea that it issued threatening statements that almost scuttled the summit. He added that while Trump is "in the lead", "I will be the person driving this process forward".

News of Apple's planned software update has begun spreading through security blogs and law enforcement circles - and many in investigatory agencies are infuriated.

On Wednesday, Apple told PCMag the change to the Lightning port wasn't meant to thwart the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

Apple said that it has a team that responds to law enforcement and national security requests 24 hours a day. In 2016, Apple refused to co-operate with an Federal Bureau of Investigation request to unlock the phone of a gunman who, with his wife, killed 14 people in San Bernardino in 2015.
