Kim Jong Un Takes Selfie During Night Out in Singapore

US President Donald Trump plans to depart early from his unprecedented summit with North Korean leader Kim Jong-un, the White House said yesterday, declaring that nuclear talks with the North have moved "more quickly than expected".

While US officials are hopeful that Kim is prepared to take North Korea in a new direction by agreeing to denuclearization, Kim remains a ruthless dictator who has committed slews of human rights violations, ordered family members executed and spent millions of dollars advancing his nuclear and ballistic missile programs while his people face food shortages and poverty.

"The fact that the leaders of North Korea and the US arrived in Singapore yesterday marks the official beginning of the summit and that is highly significant".

"We have a very interesting meeting in particular tomorrow, and I think things can work out very nicely", Trump said.

"The fact that our two leaders are sitting down face-to-face is a sign of the enormous potential to accomplish something that will immensely benefit both of our peoples and the entire world", said Pompeo.

The official said Trump and Kim would hold a one-on-one meeting on Tuesday that could last up to two hours.

Vault 76 has been mentioned several times in the Fallout games as one of the first vaults to have opened following the Great War. It's set just 20 years after which is much earlier than Fallout 4 that was timed at around 200 years after the nukes exploded.

He added that the "ultimate objective" of a historic summit with North Korea had not changed and the United States was "eager to see" if North Korea was honest about denuclearisation.

Trump and Kim will be making history here on Tuesday morning when they shake hands for the first time.

Mr Pompeo, Donald Trump's top diplomat, said that the president was fully prepared for his meeting with Kim Jong-un.

But he has since lowered expectations, backing away from an original demand for North Korea's swift denuclearisation.

A Trump administration official, speaking on condition of anonymity, said the US side was entering the talks with a sense of optimism and an equal dose of scepticism given North Korea's long history of developing nuclear weapons.

After that secretive summit, John Bolton angered North Korea when he compared the country's path to denuclearization to Libya's, leading experts to believe Trump's hawkish national security adviser was trying to sabotage the talks.

It was her first-ever Trooping the Colour, after all. "It is a huge honor and a sign of how well Meghan is doing adjusting to the royal family".

Foreign Ministry spokesman noted that "optimistic look at the nature of USA policy is beyond the bounds of possibility, and the recent violations also confirm this".

Moon earlier in the day said he expected the DPRK-U.S. summit will become a "historic milestone on the path towards peace".

Mr Trump's first year in office was marked by bitter exchanges between himself and Mr Kim - as North Korea conducted several ballistic missile tests in defiance of the global community.

Experts believe the North is on the brink of being able to target the entire US mainland with its nuclear-armed missiles, and while there's deep skepticism that Kim will quickly give up those hard-won nukes, there's also some hope that diplomacy can replace the animosity between the USA and the North.

"North Korea has previously confirmed to us its willingness to denuclearise and we are eager to see if those words prove honest".

While advisers insist Trump has been reviewing briefing materials, he says his gut instincts will matter most when he gets in the room with Kim. "Thank you very much". He told reporters that the discussions are "moving quite rapidly and we anticipate they will come to their logical conclusion even more quickly than we had anticipated".

The Koreans, in the North and in the South, understand that, and the inter-Korean 'Panmunjom Declaration" of 27 April focusses not on denuclearisation (although that is one of the stated goals) but on the two Koreas" "firm commitment to bring a swift end to the Cold War relic of longstanding division and confrontation", transforming the "unnatural state of armistice' into a "robust peace regime'.
