EPA Administrator Gets an Earful from Corn Farmers

Inhofe told the paper he has requested a face-to-face meeting with Pruitt, the Environmental Protection Agency administrator, to discuss the allegations of ethical misconduct dogging him, saying that Pruitt would be "in a very awkward position not to answer to me, and to answer me truthfully", if they sat down together.

Farmers, biofuel leaders and local politicians gathered at the Falls Park Farmers Market after a tractor parade from Howard Wood Field through downtown Sioux Falls, where a crowd of about 200 held a rally against Pruitt's inaction, according to the South Dakota Corn Growers Association. They criticized him for granting waivers to oil producers allowing them to ignore ethanol-blending rules.

An early backer of Pruitt's, Inhofe noted in his interview with Ingraham that EPA Deputy Administrator Andrew Wheeler, who was recently confirmed by the Senate, was fully qualified to carry out President Trump's agenda. On Wednesday, Ingraham called on the EPA administrator to quit in the wake of a Post report that he had tasked a top aide with soliciting job offers for his wife from Republican donors.

The Taliban, now fighting to depose Ghani's USA -backed government and reimpose sharia, declined to comment on the match. But I would say our spinners have a lot of experience and I would say experience can't be easily bought.

"As I came to South Dakota, there were a few billboards greeting me, and they didn't say 'I hope you're having fun, '" Pruitt said. EPA officials said Pruitt took about an hour-long tour of the farm and then had a roundtable discussion with farmers, as well.

"The president can just replace him with somebody who has the same views, but it would be nice if he could find somebody who isn't a serial ethics violator".

For now, Pruitt continues to enjoy Trump's support, stemming mostly from his work implementing the administration's agenda.

Pruitt's event in Reliance was private and not publicized ahead of time.

Duff said Pruitt's visit, which made South Dakota the 35th state he's been to during his time in office, came at an ideal time, as it coincided with a national discussion about ethanol. "So that's what we've seen, is a spike in applications". "That's a moonshot", farmer David Fremark told Pruitt.

"A spike? That's more than a spike". "From the Renewable Fuel Standard to the so-called 'Clean Power Plan, ' we are working hard to fulfill the agency's true mission while providing certainty to stakeholders in South Dakota and across the country". "So, you know, we could - that might be a good swap".
