Amazon leaked Prime Day 2018 details

According to a new leak, Amazon Prime Day starts July 16.

The fact that the Prime Day begins on the 16th also means that Amazon has broken with its tradition of starting the event each year on the second Tuesday in July. It seems like the banner was taken down sometime after. Last year, Prime Day began on July 10 at 9pm Eastern / 6pm Pacific in the U.S., and ended on July 11 at 3am Eastern / 12am Pacific.

The ad, spotted by TechRadar, notes that the event will last some 36 hours, which would be the longest Prime Day since the event's launch two years ago. The company said overall sales rose more than 60% compared to the previous year, with a record "tens of millions of Prime members" taking part in the promotion. Last year, the event lasted for 30 hours.
