Iranian women dance in support of detained teen

The Iranian authorities struck again, arresting an 18-year-old woman for a supposedly provocative dance she videoed and posted to social media. In several videos, she chose to appear without wearing the obligatory headscarf.

Social media users across the world have reacted strongly to the teenager's arrest, as dozens of tweets populated the hashtag under Hojbari's name.

Some women can be seen without their headscarves, but their faces covered. "The person playing the instrument cut my performance short and left the scene because of the fear that his instruments would be confiscated if police saw a woman dancing".
