Hero cave expert may sue Musk over 'pedo' attack

One of the men who helped rescued 12 boys and their soccer coach from a cave in Thailand said he is considering legal action against Elon Musk after the USA billionaire called him a "pedo", or pedophile, in a now-deleted tweet.

Unsworth told the Guardian on Monday he was "astonished and very angry" at the online abuse he had received from a very rich tech billionaire.

After Unsworth said Musk was performing a "PR stunt", the billionaire called the rescuer a "pedo guy", perhaps implying that he is a pedophile.

Musk sent a series of now-deleted tweets in which he accused Vernon Unsworth, a 63-year-old volunteer who was crucial to the rescue, of being sexually attracted to children.

MLB Home Run Derby: How to watch, when it starts and more
The most thrilling first-round match featured a near buzzer-beater by Houston's Alex Bregman , who fell to Schwarber 16-15. If anything, the way that the current bracket is set up, Baez has a real chance to break into the Derby finale.

Ultimately, the capsule was not used in the rescue mission, and it was criticized by some - including Unsworth -as a distraction.

He then doubled down on the claim, writing: "Bet ya a signed dollar it's true".

"I thought they had it in hand & only agreed to help when Thai SEAL died (deep cave pumps not operating at time)", Musk said.

Loup Ventures published an open letter to Musk on behalf of investors, saying the comments to Unsworth "crossed the line" and calling for an apology.

Antonio Conte thanks Chelsea for two unforgettable Premier League seasons
Maurizio Sarri says he wants to bring "entertaining football" to Chelsea after becoming their manager on a three-year deal. The Italian joined prior to the 2016-17 season, piloting the Blues to the Premier League title in his first year in charge.

Reuters reports that analysts and investors said Musk's public statements could be distracting him from what they view as his main task: making electric cars. "He had no conception of what the cave passage was like". "The submarine, I believe, was about five-foot-six long, rigid, so it wouldn't have gone round corners or round any obstacles".

In May, Tesla shares suffered a similar decline after another erratic performance by Musk during the company's most recent earnings call. The tweet was later deleted.

Musk became associated with the rescue when he delivered a "kid-size" submarine to Thailand in an effort to help rescue 12 boys and their soccer coach who had become trapped in a flooded cave. Meanwhile, CEO of Brian Communications Brian Tierney said Musk is "not showing the kind of discipline of someone going to manufacture hundreds of thousands of cars".

Musk also faced criticism over the weekend due to his newly disclosed political donations, which totaled $38,900, to a political action committee called "Protect the House," a group dedicated to maintaining conservative control of the US House of Representatives. At the end of the day we were here to rescue 12 young boys. Musk responded to photos of the training session on Twitter, adding that his engineers were "also getting feedback from the British dive team on how to improve the design for future applications".
