Melania praises LeBron James following Donald Trump’ scathing tweet

James was insulted by President Donald Trump on Twitter Friday night following a re-airing of an interview with CNN. "It's always been something that brings someone together", he said. Trump called Don Lemon the "dumbest man on television", before saying he made LeBron look smart, insulting his intelligence in the process.

"I support LJ", Jordan said in a statement released Saturday by his publicist.

During the sit-down, James spoke of sports as something that unites people, and added that the President was "using sports to kinda divide us". "He's doing an awesome job for his community". The First Lady's spokeswoman Stephanie Grisham on Saturday said Melania Trump was supportive of James' work with children.

This is not the first time James and the president have been at odds.

Though Jordan hasn't played in years, fans have endlessly argued about which athlete is better on the pro-basketball court - James or Jordan.

CNN's Lemon and Don Rather have since responded to the inflammatory remarks by Trump, Rather calling the president a disgrace and Lemon questioning who the "real dummy" is.

Instead, the Lakers star retweeted a photo of kids at the I Promise School ― a public school for at-risk kids that LeBron recently opened ― with the comment, "Let's get it kids!"

"Lemon ended the tweet with the hashtag "#BeBest", a reference to Melania's initiative focusing on children.

The ministry said timing of the implementation of the new tariffs on United States goods would depend on the actions of the US. It has typically taken several weeks after the closing of public comments for tariffs to be formally activated.

When Lemon asked: "What would you say to the President if he was sitting right here?" Fox News anchor Laura Ingraham told James to "shut up and dribble", which led to James writing "I am more than an athlete" on his basketball shoes before an NBA game. He has continued to attack the players, who are protesting racial inequality and police brutality, tweeting in July that the "NFL National Anthem Debate is alive and well again".

James appeared on CNN Monday in an interview with Don Lemon which was re-aired Friday night.

Melania's reported stance following the LeBron James debacle isn't the first time she's publicly had opposing views to her husband's.
